Has pre-placement jitters!!

Placement!

That's us now back to uni after a few 'serial days' at our new placement schools. It was nice to get back out in schools and I'm looking forward to placement in April with my lovely class of P7's! But for now it's the crazy month of March for us B.Ed3's which means only one thing... exams, assignments and just generally, hard work :( 

eBooks

In my Computing class today we were discussing the benefits of eBooks and until now,  I had never considered how this could be of relevance to me as a teacher or for use in the classroom. I was initially sceptical about the whole idea of eBooks and although I wont be purchasing a 'kindle' any time soon (I currently much prefer the idea of having my book in front of me), I definitely see the benefits and wouldn't mind having one for my holidays! I may eventually be persuaded...

Goodbye Jordanhill

I never thought I'd say this, but I really will miss Jordanhill when we move to the city centre campus. Despite being very creepy and out of the way, it is so much more convenient to drive to than it would be the city centre as - looks like it'll be the train for me come June :( 

I've also heard that our tutors aren't too happy either... fingers crossed we wont have to move!!

Hello!

Finally, my blog works!! Well, I should instead say that finally I remembered which e-mail address I used to set up my account in the first place :) Yes; I am going to be a teacher, it's worrying ...

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED THIS WEEK...

This week I have learned that I know absolutely nothing about computers!


On the plus side, I learned how to make carrot cake :) that's not to say it was any good though...
